City-Owned Utilities

Water

The City of Liberty owns and operates a water production and distribution system. The water system has a daily capacity of approximately 4.3 million gallons per day (MGPD) and serves over 3,000 residential, commercial and industrial connections. The City has ample capacity to handle additional development.

Sewer

The City of Liberty owns and operates a sewer collection and treatment system. The City of Liberty's Sewer Treatment Plant can handle a daily capacity of 2.5 million gallons and serves over 2,700 municipal and commercial connections.

The City of Liberty owns and operated an electric transmission and distribution system. The system consists of 83 miles of lines. The City purchases energy wholesale from the Sam Rayburn Municipal Power Agency (SRMPA).
